Dani has been with us at TMT First since January 2024 and has just completed her Level 3 Information and Communications Technician Apprenticeship.
She’s worked incredibly hard and will now be a 1st Line Support Technician.
We thought we’d take the opportunity to have a chat about her apprenticeship and what her plans are for the future.
She said: “The apprenticeship has provided me with real hands-on experience and insight into how IT plays a crucial role in keeping TMT running smoothly. Since joining the company I’ve learnt a lot, including a wide range of technical skills, from understanding IP addresses and cloud services to the legal and financial aspects of IT. While I did have some knowledge before joining TMT, my time here has helped me develop my understanding and apply what I’ve learned in the real world of work.
She added: “One of the biggest personal challenges I have faced has been building my self-confidence. I’ve always been quite a shy and anxious person, especially when I’ve been facing new experiences or responsibilities but working here has really helped me with that. The team around me has been incredibly supportive, always offering guidance and encouragement, which has made a huge difference.
Dani said: I’ve also gained a much deeper understanding of how IT contributes to the success of the business. It’s been eye-opening to learn about the various processes within TMT, how IT supports those processes. Before I worked here never really considered the broader context of how IT fits into a business.
It has been challenging at times, but I wouldn’t have wanted to do my apprenticeship anywhere else. From day one, I felt welcomed by everyone. The people here are always willing to help, and their encouragement has been vital. I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunities I’ve had so far, and I know that everything I’m learning now will help me as I Move forward with my career,”
Laura Jane, Head of Human Resources said: “I would like to say a huge congratulations to Dani on achieving her apprenticeship. She has worked incredibly hard and has been a credit to the TMT IT team. She has an exciting career ahead of her.”
