I have a background in IT, software engineering and business analysis, and I’m always looking for ways to improve efficiency and productivity. I’m responsible for overseeing the operations of various departments, including Warehouse, Logistics, Supply Chain, Repair Centre, Operations, Quality and Control, as well as some aspects of Customer Services, Sales, and Finances. My team’s main responsibility is to ensure that each department operates at its optimal level with streamlined processes and workflows to achieve maximum efficiency.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment and the satisfaction of seeing my team succeed. I also enjoy the opportunity to learn new things and to use my skills to make a positive impact on the company.
What’s the hardest thing about your job?
I’d say it’s balancing the needs of all of the different departments. It’s important to make sure that everyone is getting what they need, but it’s also important to make sure that the company is operating efficiently. It’s very much about striking a balance. Ensuring our customers are happy is vital but I also need to make sure that we are profitable.
What did you do before you joined TMT?
I worked in the field of Support and Operations Management for world-leading companies in the web hosting sector. I was responsible for staff training and development, helpdesk implementation and documentation for customers and employees, automations, business intelligence and data analysis. It gave me valuable experience in improving turnaround times between different departments, as well as customer journey and experience, leveraging data to drive insights and make informed business decisions. My background allows me to bring a data-driven approach to my role at TMT First.
What’s your ambition?
My ambition is to continue driving the development of efficient solutions and integration of data-driven decision-making throughout organisations. I want to further enhance our data quality and analytics capabilities, enabling us to make informed strategic choices and improve operational efficiency on demand. Ultimately, I strive to contribute to TMT First’s growth as a leading technology lifecycle services company while staying committed to our sustainability initiatives.
Tell us something no-one knows about you?
I’m Brazilian and I served in the Brazilian Navy. I’m also passionate about martial arts and the different philosophies behind each one of them. Since my childhood until my early twenties, I trained in a diverse range of martial arts, including Krav Maga, Aikido, Judo, Jiu-jitsu, Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, and Capoeira. These martial arts not only enhanced my physical abilities but also instilled in me important values such as resilience, focus, and self-discipline. The combination of my experiences in the Navy and my dedication to martial arts has instilled in me a strong work ethic, resilience, and the ability to adapt to various challenges.
And finally, what’s your motto?
My motto is “Never give up.” I believe that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.
Like Calvin Coolidge once said: “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.”
