Constantly innovating to improve mobile device repair processes, we live our slogan of ‘keeping technology alive for longer’. Whether that’s training the next generation of technicians by launching the UK’s first and only Apprenticeship for Digital Device Repair Technician or finding new ways to repair tech including mobile phones, tablets, laptops and wearables.
At TMT first we are driving down the cost of mobile device repairs and the best example is our Mobile Component Repair (MCR) process. Our skilled technicians can strip a device down to ever smaller and more complex components which means we can ‘repair not replace’. What that means for our customers (whether manufacturers like Samsung for whom we are an Accredited Service Centre, or for individuals just wanting a phone repaired) is lower prices. On average 30% lower.
As well as money, we are saving components that may have been scrapped and this has positive benefits for environment. To date we have saved over 13,000 batteries which are now having a new lease of life.
Another way in which we are driving down mobile phone repair costs is through our screen burn repair process. Screen burn manifests as discolouration, ghosting, or loss of brightness and colour intensity on a display, primarily affecting OLED displays. It occurs when worn-out pixels emit excessive light over prolonged periods, becoming more prevalent as devices age, typically after 2+ years of heavy use.
While the only fool proof method to eliminate screen burn is display replacement, there’s hope. Technicians at TMT First employ sophisticated software to reconfigure display pixels, significantly reducing screen burn at a fraction of the cost of a new display. As a Samsung Accredited Service Centre, we cover most models of phone.
We believe you can love technology and love the environment, and we’ll continue to do both at TMT First.
